Memories

As much as I hate the school dynamics, I have to admit that I'll miss my friends, classmates, crews and certain teachers (and seeing my hair transitions). These 3 years have been tough, but I've enjoyed the ride with these people. I'll miss waving and smiling to familiar faces as I walk around in school, looking out for good looking freshies or hidden gems in the batch, bitching about teachers as much as they bitch about us in the staff room, running away from Ms K/KPB/Jae Chia and doing cray cray shit in school just for thrills.
Although graduation came a year later for me, I'd accept it nonetheless. I don't think retaining was a bad idea because it saved my tarnished reputation from 2011, got closer to some retainees like Mundy who is my secret confidant at times; Veggie, who tackles me rugby style without mercy when he sees me along the corridors/in front of the drink stall aunties, and threatens to show me "The Rock Bottom" one fine day but is still a great friend who is very supportive since we've known each other since DSA induction in 2011 (see everyone, ruggers are not all jocks and kings of the school, they have their soft sides too and I have to say I'm pretty glad I got to see the different sides of ruggers other people will never get to see), met my current bf and also thankfully for me my new class is nothing but loveable and acceptive of retainees. Feeling very accomplished living up to YORO (You Only Retain Once) indeed. My friends of the 2012 graduating batch may be living their lives in Uni/working now but I am ever so grateful and thankful for the memories we created together. All the crazy shit we did, wild emotions running every alternate month, highs and lows and bitching within the clique itself... 2011 was probably the most memorable year in JC for me. Not going to use the excuse "I was young, therefore I made bad choices" because everything I did, I decided it myself and every bad decision made is a lesson learnt.
I'm not a die hard Saint and neither do I speak well of the school dynamics at times but all in all, I am proud to have been a part of the Saint Andrews journey with these amazing people and I never thought I'd say this but, thank God for them.
And thank God for guiding me through these 3 years in SAJC.

No one is here by chance,
Up and On.
